I'm placing a post here on the off chance that somebody might come across these for sale somewhere.
I sent a parcel to Tucson AZ with 8 cutaways inside, customs opened the package in Louisville KY and it was cleared for delivery, yet there were 5 locks missing.
EVVA Dual Illinois Duo cam lock Eagle wafer padlock (non cutaway) Lockwood V7 Oval Australian cylinder BEST SFIC lock core
All cutaways except the Eagle. You guys know my cutting style, so if you see anything of those models that resembles my locks (on ebay or wherever) then please get in contact as I suspect someone at customs has stolen the above locks.
Thanks for your help in advance

If it was opened in Louisville KY, then it sounds like you used ebay's crappy international shipping program. When selling an item on ebay, turn OFF that feature (it asks if you want to use it and by default it is ON) and just send it using whatever normal shipping you would use and have the buyer pay for the shipping. This way it clears customs in New York City and then goes to the final destination. I'll keep my eyes out on ebay! Squelchtone

Hey Squalchtone, I sent the parcel privately through UPS from the UK. No ebay involved :/ The weight of the parcel was exactly 2.499kg when sent, and had 8 locks. It arrived there with only 3 locks and a note from customs saying they had opened it. I've been on the internet and had a look around, seems very common place for UPS to steal half the items from a parcel and still send it on!

I know mate :/ It's not just me, it's the person expecting these unique almost irreplaceable locks that is suffering. I've made a claim on the phone for £1250 (that's £1000 more than the insurance I took) for inconvenience caused. If they don't pay, I'll take them to court. Simple as.

Turns out there was no note inside, just evidence of tampering and re-sealing. Here is a photo of a 3KS cut in an identical style to the Dual that's gone missing. I don't have photos of any of the others Free high security cutaway to anyone who finds any of these missing locks....

It is driving both of us nuts. Many of us have had a lock lost in the mail, but to have the box arrive undamaged aside from being cut open for inspection and taped shut, and five of the locks absent on arrival - especially cutaways of Snowyboy's quality, has me... shall we say... irritated. Gordon
Just when you finally think you have learned it all, that is when you learn that you don't know anything yet.

UPS have been calling me quite a few times about this, they sound like they are really interested in getting to the bottom of this mystery.
I hope they catch the thieving scum, and if not, I wish that those locks bring him nothing but bad luck. I'm not normally a vindictive or spiteful person but when it comes down to something I have put my time, effort, and skill in to, then it becomes extremely personal. Not to mention the fact these are not my locks, they are Gordon's own personal collection.
Have directed them to that Louisville KY depot as I am adamant that it was there they went missing.
Also since found no less than 30 news articles about this depot on Google from the last two years of employees being charged with theft of package contents....
Fingers crossed guys. Either way, my claim has been put in for £1250 now. £the original £250 cover I bought, and £1000 for inconvenience cause to myself, and to Gordon.
