After hours of trying to pick an incredibly hard dimple lock (well, it has serrated and spool top and bottom pins, so i'd call the DOM IX model hard), i decided to try something easier.

And woe and behold, my first pick on a dimple lock! :D

I'll have to admit, it is a no name with sloppy tolerances, and it is not such an archievement, but still, it is my first pick, and an indication that my time invested was not time wasted.

The keys actually look more expensive than the lock (plastic handle), but it's my first dimple pick. 8)

So, in dutch: "de aanhouder wint".
and in english: "the tough player wins"

Yours,

a VERY pleased Jordy

Nice one - I have picked an AGB dimple lock using the Souber picks. The lock LOOKS like a Mul-T-Lock classic, but uses 7 standard pairs of pins, of which 5 are spools.

Good luck on the Octro - when I saw it on MSN I thought it'd give you some grief.

Nice work on your first dimple pick. :P

I suspect my cheapo dimple lock to have no spools at all.
One of both sides will be taken apart for repinning soon.

Also, the LIPS Octro looks very scary (by the looks of the key), but i already have felt it turn slightly, while picking, and for as far as i can peer into the keyhole, at least the front left, upper and right pins are regular.

Only time can tell, but eventually, i WILL pick it.

Yours,

Jordy
