Lot of Master Combo Lock information out there.

Postby CVScam » 3 May 2006 6:51

I have seen a lot of people have different ways to open Master Combo locks. The guy put the back of the lock right next to his ear and open it I saw him do it a few times, even if he knew the combo he did have the back of the lock right next to his ear so he couldn't see the numbers from that angle. I know he was not just turning to the last number I watched him turning the dial back and forth. He was pulling lightly on the shackel too sometimes.

The only thing you are going to hear inside a master combo lock is the sound it makes when you pick up a wheel. This has nothing to do with the combination itself. These padlocks do not lend themselves to traditional manipulation practices.
For the best book out there on high security locks and their operation, take a look at amazon.com for High-Security Mechanical Locks An Encyclopedic Reference. Written by our very own site member Greyman! A true 5 Star read!!

I was just going to say, it's absolutely pointless if you have shims...

there are a few ways of opening a padlock. There is a mathamatical method to figure out the combo of master locks, but it takes a bit of trial and error.
Try googling "master lock widget" for this method

i have one thing to say...i ahve been on this master lock for a week now and im so stuck. it is so old it was made in the good ol USA. (yeah i know...rare...lol) it wont shim. the bolt to lock it goes through the side sort of and is impossible (to me at least) to shim. i ahve tried like 3 different combo techniques to try to crack it. ARG. this lock is nice. i posted pics somewhere on here...i think...ahh one sec i guess...
