When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

I think they are more similar to the "computer-generated" picks by HPC...

I don't think you'd want to rake with them to be honest :)

Okay... Now this is my first 'attempt' at replicating an ergonomic handled Bogota pick.

I got sent the pick by bonez originaly, and it was made of sweeper bristle. I however changed the handle he had made, and made an ergonomic handle.

If you like the pick end thank bonez

if you like the handle end thank me!

Here is the pick in question:

This was the first attempt and I hope to improve upon it when I make the next ones.

I'll second that, looks like a nice smooth tip on the pick and a very interesting handle, well done!

Whats it like to pick with, comfortable to hold? Picks locks well? Either way I like it, nice one!

/me goes off to make one....

I slide the loop over the middle section of my middle finger, and use my thumb and fore-finger to manouever it.

Works nicely, although I am going to use the "orginal Bogota" pick shape next as I can see the merits. Also a Sabana pick is also on the ageda.

This one will be highly polished now as I didn't bother doing it before and now see the full benefits.

the loop was bent using two standard pliers if anybody wondered.

My entry this time is two matador spin-off rakes I made recently.

Total time to make including sanding was perhaps an hour.

Nothing partcularly special about these, except I made a more ergonomic handle.
