Mountain security Deadbolt

i am sorry if there is already a topic on this, but i could not find it at all. i just bought a cheap Mountain Security Deadbolt set and i easily picked it. i then acidentally picked it the wrong way, and when i was turning it, it felt a little unusall, but the dumb part is i didnt even stop. long story short, now i cant pick or twist the deadbolt. it seems like it is jammed or something, please help me. thanks.

The driver pins have fallen into the keyway. To fix the problem simply use the flat side of your pick to push up on the pins as you turn the plug.

And Presto, it is fixed.

Sending an email is the extent of my computer knowledge. I don't know how to make pictures like the other guys here can. In what position is the plug stuck at? Is it exactly 180 degrees from the locked position?

yeah it is, and it seems like if i turn the handle to try and unlock it i can push the bolt back a little, i dont know if that is something wrong, but i tryed what you said, and the pinns feel jammed, then at times it losens, i have know idea what wrong?

Hey,
Take a flat peice of metal, such as a windshield wiper insert, and keep it at the top of the keyway where the 'jammed' pins are, then apply tension to the cylinder, it should reset nicely

btw? is this a in use lock?

i had a similar problem with a shlage, the cylindar is in the upright position but it will not move though, no matter how much tension i use. Any help? its been like that for 2 years, and i never tried to fix it

just to let you know, that this lock is not in use, i just bought it at walmart, and put it together, but i did not install it to a door.

AWESOME, i fixed it, i just took off the nob that lock the bolt off, and disassembled the lock it self, and it reseted by itself. Problem solved. thanks for all the tips and help
