i figured it has probably been done, since it seems really obvious. But has anyone taken an electric toothbrush and made a vibrating pick out of it?

Bin dun, have a search within this very section. The general concensus, however, is that the toothbrush doesn't have the necessary power. Tried a spin-brush and achieved not much more than a fast rake. Electric scissors, shavers/trimmers have also been tried, with limited success. Have a go at something yourself, and please post your results...you may find something that others have missed.
Good luck.
If it ain't broke.....pull it down and see how it works anyway!

oooh, not enough power. Then it seems you people are inexperienced with the magic of modifications
A few extra batteries and some special tuning will get that baby humming, you may even be able to make a dremel tool to build picks.

As will I. How about using an actual vibrator? Just make sure you tell the adult shop clerk that you're going to turn it into a lock pick gun!
*clerk rolls eyes..... "sure buddy...." *
Some things may be pick proof, but everything can be bypassed....

im sure someone posted a guide to making an electric toothbrush electric pick somewhere on here before, they mentionned the point that it wasnt powerful enough and said you needed to get a battery holder so it held a bigger battery, 9v i think it was, cant remember exactly though, no doubt a bit ofsearching will find it!
