Random "Lock Picking" Question

Postby Shadowstriker » 24 Jan 2007 20:53

Hi,

I know this may not sound like the smartest of all questions to many of you, but I am asking out of sheer curiosity. It is possible to essentially open a lock on say a door, by drilling a small hole into the lock? If so what would be needed to accomplish this? Simply drilling a small hole, or is there more to it?

Thank you

I probably don't even have to lock this thread, as clearly any of the experienced members here are not about to give out destructive entry methods in the public forum, but I guess ya never know.

But indeed Shadow, what they say is true. Your question very well may not have had ill intentions, but none the less we don't allow this topic for discussion.

We like to open locks in a non-destructive manner for the shear challenge and sport of it. Anyone can use a drill and that's just no fun.

But you could try a 4 " hole saw right next to the lock. Then reach your hand through and twist the thumb turn.

Oops. Shouldn't of said that... :P
