Three Row Lock Pick

Postby BERK » 21 May 2007 21:35

Well after months of getting frustrated with these three row locks I decided to try a specialized lockpicking tool. Now theoretically this little device looks like it should work awesome, but I haven't been able to get one cylinder open with it. Before I send it back and go back to drilling these suckers out, has anybody out there had any luck with these picks?

three row

Postby raimundo » 22 May 2007 6:36

by three row, are you referring to the papaiz cruciform with three pinned egdes and one slightly larger index blade for alining and turning? that pick is most likely a rake, meant to buzz the pins rapidly whom did you order it from. there are some interesting cruciform picks shown on the newsparkling site, if I remember right or it could be the szhuang site. or even new song, I thing theres a photo in one of gostones recent posts.

The pick in the picture is from HPC and it wasn't cheap. I've tried it on three different locks with no luck. Has anybody used this particular pick?

Cross pick,

Its used as a rake,

Insert tool,

Apply light tension,

Move the wires in and out of the lock while keeping tension on,

If you struggle start to bouce the tension as in on and off slightly and lightly ireggulary,

Its not a speed competition but varying the speed of stroke as well as length of stroke can also help,

Other than that do a good video of yourself useign it and post it on photobucket not youtube,
Show it to us and we can see what it is your doign wrong,

Well after a couple of weeks and two different locks, I still can't get this pick to work. The only thing I can think of that might be a problem is the length of the wires. It seems they may not be long enough to reach the back pins. Has anyone had success with this pick?
