Electric vs Manual Pickgun

Tool recommendations, information on your favorite automatic and/or mechanical lockpicking devices for those with less skills, or looking to make their own.

Well I didn't say the SO electric pick gun can quickly open locks that I would otherwise be struggling on. I said, "It gives me extremely fast openings on locks that otherwise take me time manually." By time I didn't mean hours. I had a friend the other day locked out of an apartment and the SO electric pick opened the lock about about as fast as it took me to to hit the on button after I got it in the keyway. It opens a few masterlocks I have just as quickly.

These types of picks have a powerful stroke that is used in warded keyways where the stroke is very restricted, you will find that before just putting the probe in and turning it on, it helps to look in the keyway and see where the pins sit at bottom, note the angle of the warding at this point, and if necessary, tilt the probe to stroke / at an angle \ that is copacetic with the direction of what the warding allows, the pins can only go in the direction of their drill holes, but they can recieve energy from a slanted stroke.

If you are having trouble with a mechanical pick, and this works, post your experience here, someone will find it useful
