With regards to the above post the multipick combined with the multicontrol unit is a worthwhile purchase if you really have the need for a high end EPG
I have owned one for several years and added the multicontrol unit about a year ago with such a combination there are not many cylinders it cannot open but you will need to put in some practise. The way to use it is first of all make sure the picking needle holder is positioned correctly on the unit this is a common mistake made by the ones who say it destroys locks which it will if not correctly positioned.
Shorten the needle so it will just reach the furthest pin with the tension tool inserted and place the needle so it’s just resting on the pins power up and gradually change the angle of attack until the lock responds to the open position with antipicks you will get a lot of feedback and quickly adjust your tension and the lock will open.
The multicontrol unit helps in such away as it delivers a lot of different power levels in succession whilst in scan or wobble mode it also enables the user to save different settings for a selection of locks and comes with some already preset it can also be used in manual mode and the user can select a power level that suits them.
The standard power supply can be used in a similar way to the multicontrol unit by pulsing the button on the pick.
It’s bulky a bit expensive but has plenty of juice for a good days work does not need special blades it’s well made and virtually indestructible make yourself some blades with peaks on them and it will rake stubborn cylinders open, compared to some EPGs its very quiet. But not everyone can get on with the multipick I have sold a couple on commission for people who prefer the traditional type of pick gun.
A good choice if on a tighter budget is the wendt and if you are really struggling buy yourself a klom a very noisy tool but will surprise you on what it can open but not on par with either of the above but not really expected for what it costs.
