Refinished ILCO 2584 key cutter

I've recently finished overhauling my ILCO 2584 key duplicating machine. It didn't turn out exactly as planned but I'm happy with it. The cover was paper thin so I used body filler and gel coat to build it back up. Some of the artwork is gold leaf. I powder coated the vast majority of moving parts. The clear coat turned out amazing for being an aerosol can , it's a two part system made by spray max. I highly recommend it but its dangerous so wear your proper personal protective equipment. I had to fabricate a few parts from scratch but all I have in it is 175.00$(US)
Thanks for looking!!!

That's pretty slick! I've never seen a key machine with so much attention put into it.

Like it! The key machine equivalent of hot-rodding. 8) Have to admit, looks more classy without a candy-apple red paint job with flames.

Thanks for sharing.

Wow!! That is awesome. My Cole machine does not have a cover, or at least I did not get one with it :(

 Beautiful!

That's a seriously pimped key machine you got there. Wonderful job. Many thanks for sharing it.

I know it takes a lot of time to strip and paint ur equipment. But it is quite satisfying to do. The end result is something to be proud of. Great job. Jon

Amazing job. Do the keys sing as they glide across?

I'm guessing you aren't a locksmith? Don't get me wrong I think it is cool that you have pimped your machine, but it is a tool to most of us, so other than maintenance and a cleaning I haven't seen a locksmith pimp a key machine before.
