What does UL consider the hardest lock to pick?

Not sure about the hardest lock to pick, but you can SEARCH for UL listing...the criteria has been posted a few times on this very forum.

UL only sets standards. Locks either do not meet, meet, or exceed them. They do not compare locks to eachother.

Consumer Reports would be the way to search for that info.

Yes you may find a consumer report on it, but each lock has its own specialties, so it would be really tough to rate them. It really comes down to what your looking for. Key control, pick resistance, drill resistance, kickins etc. Most offer the same amount of key control if you go to the factory level. Some have their own specific strengths, for example, Abloy is great for harsh weather due to the lack of springs.

the hardest lock to pick is the cheapo locks that you tell someone will only take 30 secs to pick. Two hours later you find the little cheapo lock still will not open lol


I would say get a high security lock that is not from your country area, for example get a european lock if in america or vise-versa.
