hi, every one im new to lockpicking and have recently taken it up to save money and as a hobby!!im havin trouble picking the ASSA pin lock on my store room and instead of paying a locksmith i though id have a go at it myself but its proving difficult.
:(
iv tried a e1000 southord electric pick but not having any joy.any feedback on this pick?????
are there any skeleton/master keys for these locks???
any help or advice much appreciated!!! :D

The pick is fine but its a tricky lock to start on. Practice is the key to this and like all things new the more practice you put in the better you will get.
There is a myth around electric pick guns opening everything in seconds but thats just not the case, they still require some skill and understanding of the lock too.

The pick is just a piece of a puzzle which is hard tocomplete without knowing what it looks like on the box. Simply buying a electric pick and have a go at it might open the lock, but knowing how it works will make it thousand times easier for you.

assa lock problems

hi, thank you for your replys its appreciated. :D
i have done some reading regarding the working mechanisms of locks and am aware of how the pins operate and how they must meet the shear line and so on.the lock is an assa scd lock which has a lever/nob on the inside with which you can lock the door when inside.has anyone had any experience with this lock or any advice/info which mite help?
is it also true that pick guns are do not work on all locks and also has anyone used a southord e1000c?is it a good piece of equipment? :?
