I was replying to Dark Angel's
and thought I'd post my results.I know several people have said that it is possible to make one from a electric screwdriver or a toothbrush, but have never actually heard of anyone being succsessfull with these ideas?

Maybe the theory isn't the same as a conventional tool, but it does work. I guess though, as you point out, that this version is just a very fast rake. Having not seen an electric pick in action, I can only assume from what you are saying, and what others have posted about starting with the lowest setting (to avoid the top plate popping off), is that the electric pick gun is an evolution of the mechanical snap guns. Can someone please clarify?
Obviously, you could probably adapt a Crest Spinbrush to work in this way, by just inserting some form of needle into the rotating brush base. Dunno if it would have the power to actually bounce the pins but for a few bucks (or even free, if you use an old tip), it's probably worth a try.
technik, I'll scan it and post it sometime this week. I'm working late every night this week as it's our annual stock check, so it'll probably be on the weekend.
