(This may get deleted) Since we're on this train of thought...
'If it tastes like fish, eat as much as you wish...If it tastes like cologne, leave it alone!' :P

However, the tortion wrench that comes with the set (the one with adjustable weight/torque) is interesting I played with wrenches with small weight attached to them and manual picking with limited succes and I was wondering if anyone else has tried this and thier success, or maybe with the wrench that comes with the fiber pic and a real pick? I could have swore I saw a suction cup/rubber band combo or maybe I imagined it up? Anyway has anyone experimented with this combo?

See if you can make something that look like this: Don't Buy this cost to much

hmm.... a fixed weight that slides up and down the shaft of the wrench... that way you can get different degrees of turning force with a single weight - intersting idea.

Wouldn't be very difficult to make... but the correct weight used could make all the difference.

Anyone care to hazzard a guess, or confirm the weight needed?

Could do a test with a small bag out of sand, weight the sand then used fishing weights, to slide up or down as needed.

I made on with the narrow brick strap. Leave the end that you would normally apply tension to full width so you can grind a slot down the middle of it. Grind the slot about as wide as the bolt you will use. Get some wieghts for tight lining with the loop on the top and secure it with wire so you can get it on and off of the bolt. Then you stick the bolt in the knotch you ground in, put on a wing nut (so its adjustable) and your good to go. Need to get a digital camera so I can post some pics.
nothn a 9 cant fix.

hey,

I just tested the idea using metal weights from my kitchen scales.

1/4 ounze -
no security pins: 1 minute to open.
with 2 mushroom pins: about 5 minutes - not as bad as I though at first :(

1 ounze -
no security pins: about 50 seconds (better)
with 2 mushroom pins: not a single success

2 ounze -
no security pins: 1.5 minutes
with 2 mushroom pins: no luck.

4 ounze -
no luck with or without mushroom pins.

1 LB (for fun)
hehehe... i don't know what I was expecting roll: - nothing whatsoever, and bent my SO hook just lifting the pins :(

those are the only weights I had... 1/4 or 1/2 ounze weights would work best it seems. I would like to see if anyone else has had sucess with the eights that didn't work for me :D

i read somewhere (the mit?) that you can use a thumbtack and a rubberband to hold the tension wrench; works well espically if you are really frustrated

thats because you dont have a headband flashlight like me. :P

hang the fishing weight, or tire balance weight on a long rubberband, and set it to occilating up and down, this gives intermittent pressure tension.
