How did you make the cut-a-way? I know Kwikset uses inexpensive materials, but did you really just saw it open, etc?

dremel 400xpr. cut off wheel. A glass of water.
I took apart the lock took out the cylinder pins and springs and spring cover, then just cut a line down on the side of each pin chamber, I only did it so you can see the driver pins or the top pins. To see the bottom pins I would have to cut off the screw holder and that would take like forever and like 200 cut off wheels. and then I would have to cut through the thick inner cylinder. Ah, I couldn't be bothered. But is great for learning how to pick with spool pins!

Hey, after much practising whith everyones great input and tech's I have finally been able to pick a 6pin cylinder with my BPG-10.
I finally have the feel for it now and the lock is extremely easy to pick with my gun!
Cant wait to use it some more!

I think it's a very useful little item also....I may just give it a go. It's not like I have to see the bottom ones also..... darn good idea.

ya. it get a fiber glass reenforced cut off wheel though. the other ones like get grinded down to nothing in like 3 seconds. But the FBR wheels are big and so I cut a little into the screw holder thingy. not beautiful, but works. I may take some pics foryou if you want.

O MY GOODNESS. I keep making photos way to big. I am so stupid! I keep forgetting. I am like one of the nerdiest computer oriented guy I know, and I Know how to. I thought photobucket made them smaller for you. Crap.
I am going for thumbnails from now on. Here you go
and mods if you could delete the big pics and put these ones in. Thanks.

Good stuff! Thanks for hasseling the pics.
This is not only do-able, but from my perspective - well done......that "non-magnetic metal" is easy to saw through but what's nice is that the illustrations are self-explaining. Useful item!

Ya I was really happy when I finished. Took like idk, an hour and was super easy. Still I am not done, but it works great for what it is.
And lets compare. Professional cutaway lock...30+ maybe...probably more
mine, 13 bucks and labor...
