Easy for me to see....... I'll let you stew on it for a couple days to try and figure it out. It's not that hard if you think about the operation that is needed..........
For the best book out there on high security locks and their operation, take a look at amazon.com for High-Security Mechanical Locks An Encyclopedic Reference. Written by our very own site member Greyman! A true 5 Star read!!

To be honest the only way to go about it is the way its done on the bosch screwdriver mod, forget the gearbox and fit a cam to the motor though.

if thats the case ur got about 970 word left. .... u have to use a cam on a lever with mabe a spring. think about what way the actions work. or what i can see just afix a weight to the motor spindle, ofset it from the center. this should cause enough vibration to be of some use. oh.... take out the gears.

I have two concepts:

#1 create a pivot hinge behind the gear and create two "ears" to guide the up/down motion and some kind of return spring sytem like a rubberband.

#2remove all gears and create your own pivoting system based on BENDING the motor shaft. I'm working on somthing a lot like this made out of almuminum and steel contact points.

If you can't make it work try yelling "aww d*****t!" and throwing your tools it never worked for my pops but it entertained me :)
