Nothing says 'leet like a full command of ASCII
(Except maybe EBCDIC, and no I won't explain what it is youngsters. Google for it).

Yeesh... that'll bring a guy back... I wouldn't have even remembered the acronym had you not mentioned it. Be honest now, did you have to google it for a refresher?

Actually I DID Google to make sure I got the acronym right (it has been a while).
I took a few programming courses in school and had to suffer through the sorting differences between ASCII and EBCDIC. Besides that, I tried to stay away from IBM mainframes and EBCDIC as much as I could (I have always been a PC guy). Guess I am not much of a Uber Character Set H4xor after all
I am glad to see I didn't suffer alone though db.

Well, I do feel better knowing that acronym wasn't just rolling around in your head for all these years.
Pop quiz.... what does PCMCIA stand for?
People Can't Memorize Computer Industry Acronyms (Thus, it quickly became known as the PC Card even though it isn't used in a PC )
