Actually I DID Google to make sure I got the acronym right (it has been a while). :lol:

I took a few programming courses in school and had to suffer through the sorting differences between ASCII and EBCDIC. Besides that, I tried to stay away from IBM mainframes and EBCDIC as much as I could (I have always been a PC guy). Guess I am not much of a Uber Character Set H4xor after all :cry:

I am glad to see I didn't suffer alone though db. :wink:

Pop quiz.... what does PCMCIA stand for?

People Can't Memorize Computer Industry Acronyms (Thus, it quickly became known as the PC Card even though it isn't used in a PC :lol:
