depends the type of cap gun...I don't think without serious modifications(sp?) it would be strong enough

that might be a little large for the task at hand.. also note the striking strength and mechanism direction

Its just the hand held bit that hits the caps the striking strength I don’t know how to explain it so im going to say that its the same as a normal cap gun the striking direction is forward when it hits the caps and then there is another thing that moves up to move the cylinder to the next cap and I thought that if you change the thing that pushes the cylinder around
With a long thin piece of metal you would have made a pick gun.

I feel you may not understand how a pick gun works or how hard it hits see picture below.

and you know how a cap gun works?
now look how hard the strike of the cap gun is versus the strike of a pickgun. The difference is huge. unless you were pickguning a lock with no springs it's not gonna work.

i'd love to see this. I think it's possible. I dont think "cap gun" would work but one of those newer kids toys that shake and light up should. I agree with previous posts. come back and let us know!

Mabey if you had one of those pistols that uses the cap rolls and strikes them with the hammer. Have the hammer resting on the pick and when you pull the trigger the hammer lifts off of the pick causing it to go down. Then the hammer slams down on the pick causing it to fly up.
