Out of your own personal preference; which do you prefer?

Can you add to this survey? It would be nice to see hand picks and bump key added to the survey. I don't like the gun at all, but use bump keys a lot. I now have an electric pick and I'm starting to use it more than the bump keys.

shure, i just though some people would start on the " why have you got handpicks in there - this should be in the manual forum" blah blah blah.

any particular reason why you prefer hand picks?

Hand picks, hands down. As for why? 'Cause I do this stuff for fun. If I want my lock open faster than I can manually pick it, I'll use the key. 8)

Electric pick for me,

Because even after a long day lock fitting if I get called out late on can still get job done.(Even when both arms feel like lumps of lead)

When im working its always the electric pick first, but then speed is normally of the essence.

If im doing it for fun i hand pick though. But even on the job there is still alot of stuff that you have to pick by hand.

Hmm i will say hand picks, but i did try the electric pick once.. i felt like a woman.. use your imagination, give me hand picks, they are more relieable if you follow the binding pin procedure.

Probobly the electric pick though jsut becuase its electric and i dont have to pull the trigger , becuase i am lazy and live in america, eat at mcdonalds, driv emore than i should, smoke to many ciggerettes.. you get the point.

I think this poll could have been worded better and got more replies. Actually I'm not interested in personal preferences, at least not in this case. I think it's basic knowledge and undeniable picking is more fun, but this poll could have been used to see which we prefer based on effectiveness, snap gun or electric. That would have been so much more interesting then why we prefer manual picking for fun.

Can we start over may be? For those who have used these two, which do you find more effective. Never mind the fact that *you* may be able to pick manually faster, given these two alternatives, from experience, which do you find more effective?

Thanks!

Touche'

I agree with all these guys,i don't even think about touching a electric/snapper pick.

it just seems like it takes all the skill out,its good unless you are doing lockpicking not for a hobby...but for other reasons...you know what i mean.
