Squiggle Wiggle Writer Lockpick

Postby Codeman » 3 Dec 2006 22:30

Here are some pictures of a lockpick I made out of an old Squiggle Wiggle Writer...and it works  I chose the squiggle writer partly because of how much it vibrates, and the expression on people's faces when I pick a lock with a toy

That's awesome.

I've been considering making an auto-pick from one of those $5 electric toothbrushes...this might motivate me in that direction.

Think of the techinque of overlifting, you lift all the pins at once and bind them with tension, then the trick is to let them escape the binding force one at a time and drop to the shear line, a vibration tool could be very useful in the second step, put that in and let the tip vibrate the pins a bit, shake it loose and let it drop down. For that matter, a vibrator with just a rubber tip, (an electric eraser?) could be just applied to the front of the plug. its worth an experiment or two :)

A vibrating pen for kids that shakes as you draw so the lines come out wiggly.

how effective is this pick? Does it only work on cheaper locks? or will it work on any decent locks? how does it compare to spp time wise? thanks.
I hear what you are saying.....that doesn't mean I agree with you....Just that I am nodding my head to placate you and silence your futile attempts to win the argument.
