Hey,
Can anyone help me out with the silca key blank code for an 1996 Ford XF sedan.
I don't have access to the code books atm.
I think the Ilco blank is 1170LN, but I could be wrong.
Cheers
Frank

Ford XF sedan? Not sure what you mean but I cant find a key blank number 1170LN matching to a Ford vehicle in my Auto/Truck Key Blank Reference in my computer. You might be able to find that blank here, http://mysecuritypro.com.

My Silca book does not have a listing for a FX model.
Could it have another model name?
What part of the word are you in? If you are in the USA, it's probably a H51 (very similar to 1170LN).

I'm guessing as its an XF that he is from Australia or New Zealand.

I've never heard of a Ford XF. Most likely (as mentioned before) it's an aussie model of car.
Just some information but back in 96 a lot of Fords used BOTH ways of entry. Single key whole car and Primary/Secondary keyways.
Example of this is my parents own a full size 94 F-150 Econoline van and it uses only 1 key for every lock in the system (Ilco H54) and some Mustangs of the same year used the old 2 key system (Ilco H50/51)
But not being from "down under" I don't know this vehicle at all

Ah, it's one of these
I'll check with some mates and see what key fits it.

I don't think I've ever seen one of those in the US, but I could be wrong.

That looks like a 4-door Mustang LX
can't say anything on the locks but it's obviously based on the Fox body

From what I understand the edit button feature is only on certain forums.
