Up front; I am a Peterson fan. A cheap Peterson set for $44 "the City" has 6 rubber handled picks and 2 tension wrenches. Numerically about the same number of pieces but I suspect of better quality; but that is just an opinion and reflects my own bias.
1. I guess I am just not fond of buying picks from companies that sell "gadgets" and incidentally a "pick set" believing that we should support companies with an invested interest primarily or exclusively in developing and marketing lock picks.
2. "Gadget" companies generally sell picks sets that are more expensive than buying directly as they add their markup.
3. The initial post suggested that globallockytoo believed that the offer was a good deal; I disagreed and suggested the Southord 32 piece discount set for approximately the same cost.
However, which picks to buy, what is the best deal, what are the best quality, is a fun argument where we can agree to disagree.
