Hello, everybody!
I'd really appreciate some help here. I need to open an Assa key on me door. I ain't got no lockpicking skills or nothing. But i could buy me some stuff, so I need an advice.
I heard ppl saying that electric pick gun could do the trick. If so, which one should I buy?
I think my lock has 5 pins.
Please, help me. And don't confuse me cuz I ain't interested in getting lockpicking skills, I just need to open the darn door. Thanks in advance.
P.S. Please, if this post is irrelevant in some way, tell me where I can find some help with this.

Hi soStupidMe i would recomend getting a locksmith to help you out on this one, this is a board for hobbyists and professionals who are interested in picking just for fun,if your not interested in picking go see a locky and use the money for tools your never going to use is my advice and if the lock on the door is in use i wouldnt chance trying to open it yourself, you could end up costing yourself more when you call for a locky to come out and fix it.
if everyone who tried something new liked it but didnt bother telling anyone else there would never be anything new to try...

well I have a pickgun that can do it but you're going to have to send me a money order of $300 before I can even discuss it, then we'll talk about the price.... oh and break it down now Mr. T

hey! I live in a country where ppl speak Spanish.... Whereever i go (even the police), they don't get me, n I don't get em. I don't care bout how much money i spent cuz i need to open my basement. This is now my house, and i don't have a key. And i got the right to know what's in that stinking old basement. In a house like that (cheap, old n twice as ugly) the only good lock is on that door. I wants to go in!!! Just curious as hell!!!
So, please, some help is much appreciated.

Hey, all i need is advice. I only need to know if there's a tool that is easy to use and doesn't require any great knowledge of me. I thought an electric gun could help me. But if there is no such thing, I'll have to live with my basement locked forever i guess. Cuz i'm afraid if i break that door down, i don't know what's gon happen to this house.

how do you expect us to help you if you cant be stuffed to learn how to pick the lock? what other way are you expecting?
with the amount of money you will spend on a pick gun, which you still wouldnt get the door open with, you could get a pro to do it, and then you can have it done today.
where are you located?

So what you are saying is that even if i get the gun it still won't open it for me, because i don't know how to lockpick? Like there's no difference whether one uses ordinary lockpicks or automatic guns? If I don't have skills i won't be able to do it anyway. Is that what you're saying?

thats right, an electric pick gun or hand picks wont magiclly open the door, you would need to know how to use the tools, so if you dont want to wait, buy the tools and learn how to use them you wont be picking the lock open then.

Ok, thanks. I'll try to learn how to lockpick. Maybe it'll be fun. But still, which one is easier to use and requires less knowledge?
p.s. república dominicana

thats pretty much it mate,i can single pin pick and rake but their easy skills to learn,it takes time and lots of practice and a heck lot of knowledge about the mechanisms inside locks, assa from what ive heard are hard to open so wouldnt have thought i could go get a electric gun and pop it open, i would however know how to open the phone book to call a locky... sorry mate its either you break it down or pick up the phone
if everyone who tried something new liked it but didnt bother telling anyone else there would never be anything new to try...

Yes: that is what is he saying. An electric pick gun, while requiring less skill than manual picks, still requires a certain degree of skill, and some basic understanding of how locks work. If it's a deadbolt you're opening, you may also need to worry about issues like preventing pins from entering the keyway as you turn the cylinder.
Basic lockpicking skills aren't hard concepts to grasp, and the information is readily available to you here if you're interested... but you state in your earlier posts that learning about lockpicking isn't something that interests you. If so, then paying $300 for a decent pickgun that you intend to use once doesn't make economic sense, if you can hire a locksmith to open it for you for far less.
Quite frankly, your other arguments of "if I can't open the lock with an electric pickgun then I guess I'll never see the basement of this house I just bought" or "if I don't pick the lock, my house might fall down" don't make any sense at all.

Thanks, mr_chris79, but i think i already said why i can't call a locky...
lunchb0x, it's very knid of you to answer my stupid questions. Could u enlighten me bout em assa locks. Do they have security pins and are there any tutorials on how to open em manually (with ordinary lockpicks)? Any information on ASSA locks would really help me. Thanks again for your time.
