If you are new to the buisness youll soon learn that paying customers wont be two happy if you turn up and hammer the door open as they see it, they will also question weather they should be forking out their hard earned cash for some guy to damage their lock that you could have rekeyed.

I bumped a brand new abus euro barrel once and fitted it to my own front door the next day, about three weeks later i got a call from the wife who was locked out the key wouldnt turn. After stripping it i discoverd a series of burs on each of the pin holes in the plug.

If the lock you bumped open is left in use you will be blamed when it fails even if its twenty years old, someone new to any buisness needs to build a reputation based on their skill and professional behaviour, bumping is not a nondestructive method if thats what you are after pick. When picking and bypassing fail by all means bump before you drill you will be doing yourself a fovour in the long run

when all nondestructive options fail and there is no other door to try there is only one other way which is not up for discussion here sorry
this is a lockpicking forum not a destructive entry forum

Do you have a code machine? Just make your own.

If you are doing lockouts, and don't mind the reputation hit, buying a set of code cutting keys for SC4 (just copy it on an SC1 to get the SC1 bump) and KW1 will get you into most call outs. Like previously mentioned, ONLY do this if nothing else works, or you are alone on the call out. People will FIND things to blame on you (like all the drunken scratches on their door from missing the keyhole themselves) if they see you bumping.

ok, a bit necro here... why didn't anyone recommend they learn to impression the lock instead of bumping it? isn't it a nondestructive way of making an essentially one use key(key is weakened by the forming process and is unreliable long term)? that would show some leet locksmithing skills and help build a reputation as a person who could make a temporary key on scene... haven't had the opportunity to try my hand at impressioning yet, so i am not sure of what i'm talking about.
I accepted that I couldn't do it. Then I succeeded just to prove I'm never right. - Spc Lawrence
