Ok, I know this has been done. I decided to try it myself.
I got a 6v Electric scissor from walmart(about $8.00) made by singer.
The motor has a nice nylon offset tip that does not look like it would damage the plastic it comes in contact with. I removed the scissor blade and replaced it with a pick. I know that I will soon have to reinforce the plastic that holds the pick.
This version seems to have ample power. I have tried it on a few 5 pin(no anti pick pins yet) locks and works pretty good so far(opened all of them). Later today I will take some pictures of it.

I'll host it. Talk to me via a secure method (email, instant messenger) and I'll arrange to have it hosted.

It's great how people make things like this and have instant success, whereas it took me 8 months to get my expensive, high-end HPC Electropick to open ANYTHING.

I think I'm going to make one of these. I'll probably make the yoke and cam metal and I might soup-up the motor as well.

I just tried it on a schlage deadbolt(with spool pins). I can only get it to set 3 or 4 pins. I have to pick the last 1 or 2 by hand.

I can see making the yoke and cam metal. You shouldn't need to modify the motor. It does not bog down at all. At least not yet.

I spoke too soon. I have now opened the schlage several times with it.
Although it is faster to pick the last couple of pins by hand.
