Falle makes a decoder, but there is also a much simpler pick set by Souber. The locks are quite pickable but lots of tension is required. I have a pick set somewhere.

Cheers. The lock is cheaper than i expected, but before i purchase a new lock i will look on eBay.

What is the letter between the primary key number ? ie 123 ? 456

A, S, N, or W ?

I do not understand the hostility. What are the chances that someone will find the lock and open it? It will do no more harm than showing a picture of the key.

This lock (master keyed) and others like it are still in operation on a site in the UK and I do not want the numbers in the open at this time, just incase. The site is due to be pulled down this coming year once that has happen I will gladly give out numbers (I am hoping to still be here on this website when it is pulled down). But I suppose the letter will not harm. oldlock the letter is, you guessed it "M"

Question - was the lock from a common entry door ? a lot of the levers have master cuts in them, ie a lot of keys have to fit that lock, or it s really complex (ie big) system.

It's a good example of how master keying destroys security - not improves it.

The system is big approx 100-200 locks through multiple doors, not complex. This is a spare from one of those doors.

The master key systems works by the following
1 key opens only one lock. ie this key only opens this lock and no other,
1 Master key opens every lock on site.

Wow you guys have had a big discussion whilst i was away for Christmas! I only wanted to know if theire was a pickset available !!

The decoder idea is a good one Shrub, i will give it some thought myself (a decoder is gonna be real usefull) if i come up with anything i will let you know.
