I was just wondering how those locks/padlocks look like ?
I tried to find photos/pictures of such locks but I had no luck.

The thread UWSDWF linked to talks about warded mortice locks. These locks are found on old building in France, and also historical places, such as churches.
I just made a guide about warded padlocks.
Go on.. tell me I'm the best... please?
Enjoy.
