If you're just starting out, I'd suggest that you don't start with a Chubb - you haven't said which model it is, some respond to impressioning, others the drill and some can be bypassed using other means.
Get a cheap 3 lever to start with and practice, practice, practice.
Most Chubbs have a collar/barrel and shouldn't be played with until you are very confident with what you are doing.
If you are looking at an insurance approved lock, I would suggest you use a key.
