He had enough and was getting rid of the lot, tools, key machines,stock, templates and van, he was a proper locksmith with a wealth of knowledge and experience, put my meagre know how to shame, i felt like a vulture picking through his bits, going train driving he said, pretty sad when the trade loses a good man.

I see from your profile that you are a carpenter/locksmith. Maybe if you approach him right with a couple o'bob he might be willing to pass on some of his knowledge to you. win:win situation
