Had a quiet day today so had to indure daytime telly for a bit but saw that Paddington Green is on Sky tonight at 9pm UKTV People (not sure what channel number that is). For those who havent heard of it, it follows residents of Paddington Green, London around and one is a stressed out locksmith going from one job to another not having time to scratch his arse. I want to know where i am going wrong with only one job today!

The thing i remember about that lockie is his first homemade safe tool that had a smiley face on the end and the prossy that had a sex change,
Worth watching if you have nothign else to do though,
Remember the model in it? she did well for herself in the end being a regular face on tv nowadays,

Thats the program that got me into locksmithing. I think the guy was called Jason (not sure) but whenever he went to a job he seemed to find more creative ways to get in that just picking the lock, even going as far as to climb up either a drain pipe or some scaffold and go through an upstair window rather than pick the lock, thats when I thought to myself I CAN DO THAT. I dont do the acrobatics but have gotten a bit creative on occasion .
And the transexual prostitute doesn't bear thinking about especially when she talked about some of her customers being the people who used to bully her at school when she was a boy

Didn't he live with his mum still and was always having problems with her as well as his girlfriend? Seem to remember his van was always getting tickets too and they were all stuffed along the dash lol
Reminded me a bit of Kevin (from Kevin & Perry) but he was a lot to do with me wanting to be a locksmith too.
Someone must know what he's up to these days - trading still I wonder?

From what i recall he lived with his girfreind or at least at the end of the show he did, i remember he was always falling out with her as he was always rushing off to do a job, i remember the nottinghill carnival one where they had a big aregument as he was late because of a job and traffic and then went early because of a job with jerk chicken in his mouth lol,
I was wondering if hes tradeing or not still, we will have to try and catch his business name on his van or somthgin and look him up and tell him about this site lol

I was working at Marble Arch one day, and had a quick chat with the man himself, his style was very much as you seen on the tv, seemed a decent guy, he was scruffy as f##k though!

Whenever I venture into the European forum, I always end up scratching my head over what's going on. So let me get this straight: Paddington Green is a town and Jason is the town's lockie? The show is also named Paddington Green? Looks like I need to find myself a copy of the show.

You mean its not the bear who usually wears a duffle coat,a rather shapeless hat and, on occasions, Wellington boots and a love of marmalade?

Lol, nearly,
Paddington Green is an area in London,
The show Paddington Green was a documentry on a long time ago that followed residents of the area and their day to day lives, it was in the peak of the fly on the wall docu soap thing mid nineties i think,
Jason was indeed a lockie in that area, there was a prostitute that used to be a man, there was a wannabe model who obviously made something of her life as shes now seen regulary on tv, there was a gay bloke trying to rent his flat out to a lodger after a break up with a boy friend, etc etc,
At the time is was actually quite entertaining but i saw it recently and just gave me the blues lol
Jason the locky though was funny, he was rushed off his feet and always getting called out when he was supposed to be doing somthing with his other half which they fought about regulary, he used to go to residents that had no parking and used to simply park his van in the middle of the road so nothing could get through while he went and drilled a lock out, he seemed to do a lot of safes as well, from memory he used the old epg based on the old black and decker screwdriver a lot or the drill, always looked like he was on somthing to me lol
