UPVC door locked and no key how do I replace lock??

Postby TomCPorter » 14 Nov 2006 8:59

I have a UPVC door with 6-pin anti drill euro cylider lock which I have purchased [cheaply!]. It is locked and I need to remove and replace the cylinder. It is in the frame so I cant open it to get at the grub screw in the side of the door. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Your obviously not a locksmith. If you don't know how its done you need to call one. if you give your area i'm sure there's one of us locksmiths nearby who reads this tht can help.

I agree with Tyler, also just because it says it is high security or Anti-drill doesn't make it a good lock. I felt you should be aware of this

Nobody on this site will answer a question like this as the info you need can be misused. If you are in no hurry to use the door see the threads on picking if in a hurry ask the locksmiths on site how much you could expect to pay.Or try locksmiths.com.

I dont think he'd be able to open it. It's not an internal door and it's got 6 pins!

It is the techniques required in order to get the locked door open in the first place (in order to change the cylinder) that is sensitive. Revealling the way to open the locked door in the public arena is not the best thing to do....ref burglars etc!
