I would like to thank Shrub for is observation, I have been ( spp ) for the last 5 months with hit and miss successes.
Until Shrub pointed out a common habit I was having, which was having the ( tension wrench resting on the lock case ) which was interfering with the process of picking .
Since I have been repremanded
, I have been pulling my tension wrench out just slightly so only to have contact with the plug. From that I have been able to ( spp ) 3 locks I was unable to pick beforehand, including the Union lock on video. 
It's great being able to open locks so quickly with a pick gun, but there is nothing like being able to pick a lock by hand. Besides, what do you do when your pick gun has run out of batteries ?
