Odd size Euro cylinder needed

Postby NickBristol » 24 Jan 2007 4:47

Morning all,

I'm having real difficulty tracking down a particular size Euro cylinder. I need a 55/40 (or 50/10/35 if you prefer) thumbturn Euro but can't find one anywhere. I've tried Aldridges and a few local locksmith shops but no luck. I can find plenty of 60/40's or 55/35's but that leaves either the Key section too long or the turn section too short!

Anyone know where to find one? Not too bothered about the brand as size is more important here. Ideally 6-pin would be best.

Cheers for any help,
Nick

Cheers Bonez but that'll leave it 5mm short in the handle set unfortunately :(

Looks like I might need to put new handles on for the customer, or chance keeping the 60/40 even tho it's snappable.

thanks for the offer tho, still much appreciated.

Is the 55mm side to the outside of the door, if so then ISEO have 2 types of cylinders 5 pin and 11 pin, 55mm outside 40mm inside thumbturn.
Hope this is of assistance

AJS, thanks for the tip about the ISEO cylinders, I'll have a look at them too and try to find a trade supplier.

Beware of using ISEO thumbturns as you can open them in seconds with a piece of piano wire.
