Bar-B-Q picks?

Postby Bill F » 22 Mar 2007 14:33

Hi all,
Sometime ago i got some Bogota Picks from Raimundo and was over the moon with the craftsmenship and the workability of them.
Having read lots of topics on making home made picks i thought i would give it a go since work has been a little slow just lately.
So Bar-B-Q Picks ? well looking around the house for something to make my new picks with i was getting desperate i thought i might have to buy something :( so my last place of call was the kithchen drawer and eh presto several bar-b-q sticks . :D Thet were a little on the thick side but strong enough to manipulate into a pick.
My final result after several hours of grinding filing and sanding i came up with this set designed from the bogota (not anywhere near as good ) but they work and they perform well on most euro profile 5/6 pin cylinder and some padlocks .
Have a look at the link below and give us some feedback to your thoughts
