40 quid!!! You'd have to be stark raving mad

There are a handful of people who seem to have had a bit of success with these things, but the way some people talk about them I have a funny feeling they're exagerrating. Which is understandable, I mean they did pay serious money for what is essentially some random house keys with the points filed down, something they could have done themselves in 5 minutes with a bunch of old keys

I've had a play about with a set that was given to me, and managed to open a couple of really easy locks, but it was hit and miss trying to repeat it after finally finding the right key. I have a pile of locks which rake open in seconds and I only managed to open 2 of them with the rake keys... and not for the lack of trying!! I really gave it my all to try and get the most out of them and they just gave me the finger... definitely the most pointless gimmick to date.

If you gave me a choice between paying £40 for those keys and £400 for a basic city rake and tension wrench, I still wouldn't choose the keys. There's no contest, I wouldn't buy a pile of different screwdrivers if I wanted to hammer nails... but if people wanna waste their money it's entirely up to them

with bump keys you need one for each keyway, with these you need a set for each keyway. Or do they only make them out of yale 999 blanks.

They only make them with 1A/Y1 blanks because the majority of residential locks in the UK have that profile. They wouldn't bother making them in any other profiles, they're almost completely useless and nobody would buy a set of these things in a different profile because the chances of them working are so low as it is
