Lowe & Fletcher LF25 Keyway

Postby Warbs87 » 6 Feb 2014 10:52

I tried posting this but can't because I'm new here. Just started up a small mobile locksmith business in Manitoba Canada. Wondering if anyone could give me some input on lf25 coding.

I am trying to find the coding for a Lowe & Fletcher LF25 keyway. I have spent many hours looking for this and haven't really found anything. I finally got a bunch of blanks after being back ordered 3 times. I would love to have the codes to use on my enw HPC blitz machine.

The local post office here uses these for their mail boxes and have asked if I could start cutting keys for them. Duplicating is no problem but all the original keys are stamped with a code and would make things 100x better for myself and the post office if the coding could be used.

Does anyone have any advice for me on where to get such a thing?

Thanks,

I looked into L&F data on Silca Key programs for you.
Which keyblank maker you refer to with this LF25?
Ilco LF25 is a single sided key.
Looking at the picture you posted I would guess the blank is Silca LF56 (Börkey 1608, Orion LF8, JMA LF-26).
If that is indeed the blank, my software has no codes or even space/depth chart. For obvious reasons, if the keyway is used fpr postal services they would keep it seacret. There are codes for mirror image of your picture.
I think you have to look for other resources than public code books.
Maybe someone from Canada can help you.

Well, I have the blank from keyblankdepot.com and its a JMA LF24 & according to 1800keyways.com the ilco blank is a lf25. I have found this too:

Similar codes producers:

Jma: -----
Errebi: -----
Silca: LF32R or LF19
Orion: LF42L
Ilco: LF24

Not sure why it is so difficult and has 100 different names. From what I can find its just a european cabinet/cam lock. Canada Post just uses it but should be possible to find somewhere. Thanks for your input though.

Get a sample number off an original key. Then it will be possible to advise further.

Yeah that looks right. Where would I find more info on where to obtain these codes? I want to find the depths to be able to make code card for my HPC blitz machine to start cutting them by code. Someone must sell the code information for all these codes dont they?

That information came from Instacode. $199 per year from Michael Hyde in the US.

IC allows you to print HPC cards too. Far superior product to codesource IMO.

I got my copy of code source, printed the correct code card. Tried cutting a key 1st one worked great. I was pumped, tried a 2nd one to test it out and it didnt work. Not to sure how the coding can be wrong. The code i cut was 66860 which had the bitting 13132221

IC concurs - same info. So the lock has either been re-keyed or incorrectly numbered. I'd suggest you sight read it to check.

Here is my code card. Its off just a bit I have tried 4 or 5 times printing it and cant seem to get it exact to cut the keys right. https://www.dropbox.com/s/9q2a7kdeup2s8ck/L%20%26%20F%20Code%20Card.pdf Not sure where to try next. I have contacted HPC and they don't sell this card individual card.

Got it figured out, was a problem with the cards getting converted to a PDF, HPC got it working and things are good now!
