Lockwood MT5+ maybe, but probably not now. I really like the Mul-T-Lock MT5+ because of the key and price like I said.

The only thing I wanted to know was if someone could confirm if any of the Mul-T-Lock Euro cylinders had 90 degrees of 'freeplay' or if the seller doesnt know what he was on about.

If anyone watched that other video I linked that shows a Mul-T-Lock Euro cylinder rotating, that kinda gives me an idea that maybe something does exist from Mul-T-Lock.

I have contacted Mul-T-Lock themselves, Mul-T-Lock Online, ebay sellers, even Advocate asking about ther ABS Euro cylinders.

But yeah, Thanks guys!

I know API do Kaba Gemini....that's a similar key (without a plastic head), way more secure......that can be prepared for a lazy cam whitco cylinder. I've done them myself. Probably cost you AUD$200.00

Thanks,

I'll have to check it out.

On a side note, I went to a locksmith near here and they only deal with Bilocks unfortunately, and yeah as I though he said I'd be looking at about $260 for a Euro cylinder. For that price I could pay a bit more and get a EVVA MCS euro cylinder heaps better and 'cooler'.

I asked about the Lockwood MT5+ and he said it would have cost even more.

As expected, buying anything local is not going to be cost effective for my purpose. Especially when I will be buying a few locks.

It's good to have a good idea of the choices and different options available.

Thanks guys!

Another option (no cheaper though) is to remove the POS screen door lock and retrofit with something better that takes a standard euro.

After all there is zero point putting a high sec cylinder of any type in a standard whitco screen door lock as they are total junk.

I did this for my screen doors, far from easy but the end result was much better.

Then you can use your MT5+ euro.

Ooh, haven't seen this reply. Apologies for the late reply.

I'm curious to see what you have done so i can get a better idea.

The only reason why I wanted a MT5+ cylinder on the screen door is so I can have it keyed alike to all the other locks on the front/back door and gate.

From a security point of view, yes it won't add anymore security as you can just snap the cylinders. But at least then there is an obvious sign of forced entry unlike the standard C4 cylinder which I can open with a banana.
