Abus E60 vs E90

Postby gwarface » 11 Aug 2016 15:52

Hi guys sorry if iv put this in the wrong place. iv been picking since december and got hooked.
Im looking for a bit of advice,i can do every lock iv managed to get my hands on and even repinned the locks i could for a bit more of a challenge.
I was looking at getting either an abus e60 or e90 there both similar on price and couldnt really find much info on the security pins or differences between them other than a new keyway shape.

The lock iv can easily do so far are

master 140,
an ERA standard 5 pin rim cylinder,
ABUS 41/50,
ABUS 32/80? I think...
a cheap 6 pin BASI dimple lock with 2 deep spools and a serrated driver,
A 6 pin Era euro cylinder with 4 spools, later i added in the 2 deep spools from the basi lock and 2 serrated keypins.
A few mortice locks
2 cheap chinese disc detainers
A few wafer locks
A few others with either no name or challenge to them

After picking each lock with decent speed a few time id change some pins for homemade serrated keypins and mushroom drivers but its not long before i get them too.

Any info will help also any suggestions on something similar near the same price point maybe even a different type of lock or a way to make my home made pins better.
Thanks

I ended up getting the E90 double cylinder. Iv managed to to pick it a few times and decided to open up one end and got a supprise. 4 spools and 2 pin in pins, one has a spring inside the pin, and didnt seem to have a main spring in that chamber.
Overall a nice step up from the previous locks and will post some pics but im not sure of the pin in pin is high security or not.
