"Slim" Rake set

European hardware -lever locks, profile cylinders specific for European locks. European lock picks and European locks.

"Slim" Rake set

Postby IR84 » 4 Dec 2019 9:38

Hi all,

I'm looking for a rake set or a set more heavy on raking, with a "slim" profile that will be more suitable for European cylinders/locks... Any recommendations?

Thanks!

The Southord Pagoda is probably what you are looking for
https://www.southord.com/products/lock- ... es-bpxs-12

or the Multipick Elite Bogota set
https://www.lockpickworld.com/products/ ... t-7-pieces

or just buy an L rake / City rake, a half diamond, and an S rake to make your own custom set..

The Sparrows Tuxedo Royale has all these plus some hook picks

if you are a locksmith and need to rake a lot and will wear out or break picks and need back ups in the field the HPC set is good for that

Are these sets from Southord and Multipick thin enough? Looks like both are above .020

Perhaps you can tell us which brand of locks and keyways you are hoping to pick and in which country. Also, have you ever picked a lock? are you a hobbyist? a locksmith? a policeman? a burglar?

I would not focus too much on just the thickness being the be all end all thing you consider when buying a pick set, but if you only want the thinnest picks, Peterson has a .015 set https://www.lockpickshop.com/JP-SS-18.html for $74.95 US

Well, a hobbyist (does a burglar say he’s burglar when asked ?), just started picking in the last few weeks. Locks ? Euro Cylinders , padlocks , whatever I can get my hands on to practice.
Maybe I’m off with the question, thanks for the info anyway.

I've got lots of rakes. The set that chews through everything is the Peterson Wonder Waves.
