Came across a mortice lock today, similar blue flecked colour case to a Securefast with a 5G keyway. Looked quite a new lock and opened it to discover a Yale faceplate and sliding Legge type levers inside.

Confused me... Anyone?

Cheers :)

yale make this lock and another that looks similar to the securefast except it has a full oval cutout and the old era invincible lever in it.

the good news evo is your legge pin and cam will pick it , and the other yale i mentioned above with the oval cut out is the same lock almost as the old red invincible with oval cut out and is easily picked with the invincible decoder.

Cheers Pinky, will make a note of that.

The door had already been drilled previously so wasn't a problem getting in. If it hadn't been though, I would have had a problem ID'ing it myself, and you could have well been on the receiving end of a call!

The more locks that the Legge pin and cam and Invincible decoder opens the better, they're great kits.

Yale used to buy in the Ingersoll five lever range and rebadge them. They had a brass bolt instead of laminated hardened steel and the classic Yale light blue paint that was used on the rebadged ERAs as well.
