I recently purchased a Chubb Shackle Padlock and a Yale X5 6 pin cylinder of eBay to try something a bit more difficult but I'm have problems, I don't no wether I'm using to much tension on the Chubb lock which has serrated pins ( you can just make them out from the photo ) because I find it very hard to push the pins down, they seem to bind very easily, and if I don't use much tension then the pins don't seem to set at all, where am I going wrong ?

I'm having simlar problems with the Yale X5 which must have spool or mushroom pins as i can't see any serrated pins. I mounted the Yale lock to a Practice board ( the X5 is the one in the middle at the top ) I made which is also pictured, I know I've put some very hard locks on the board but i thought if I can pick every lock on the board ( possibly not the chubb mortice or the digital combination ), I'll be finaly getting some where with these locks with secrity pins.

The Tools at my disposal are a Southord Mpxs-20, I've mainly been using the hook, half diamond and snake picks on these locks but no joy as of yet, any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
