The mastered version of the 110 comes to my knowledge in 2 formats (may be more!)
The normal format is using a standard 110 with two or three cuts in the detainers (Normally two - spaced 2 differs apart minimum)
This could be done on site or in a workshop by filing a second gate.
The second type I used to work on had a smaller barrel and curtain, so a different key was used, these are used in National Trust buildings in my local area.
Picking of the standard lock is by pin and cam, although this is the hardest mortice lock system there is (and I'm sticking to that!!)
The smaller barrel would require a modified tool, I have not seen one commercially available but it would be useful to have a second tip for the tool avoiding 'costly' drill damage to very old and expensive doors
