Cisa Small Oval Cylinder - 08210

European hardware -lever locks, profile cylinders specific for European locks. European lock picks and European locks.

Cisa Small Oval Cylinder - 08210

Postby Rockford » 9 May 2005 7:54

I installed one of these a few days ago into a Patio door along with a Cisa hookbolt. This was to replace the existing mechanism that is no longer manufactured. The cylinder is smaller than the "standard" Oval, with the face measuring 13mmx28mm.

Does anyone know of an escutcheon to fit these particular cylinders ?. If not, I may have to get some manufactured (ouch).

If you have a dremmel you could make your own from a standard souber repair plate. Draw around it and drill out most of the area then sort out the rest with the dremmel. Ive done this myslef to accomodate a mistake i made fitting a lock on my own van, worked a treat :D

Thanks toomush - I'd thought about this route, and have bought a couple of extra repair plates in case I can't buy them "off the shelf".

I've contacted Cisa to ask if they produce an escutcheon for this cylinder, and I'm waiting for the reply. The hookbolt came with no template, so placing the holes for the cylinder needs careful measurement - and a lot of luck. I hate working with aluminium - so unforgiving !.

Thanks again.
