Anyone possess a Souber Tools plug spinner? I received one today and it nearly killed our new kitten.
There's a length of spring steel strip with collars near the front, and at the back. The protruding front of the strip goes into, and spins, the plug. The back of this strip is clamped into another collar that also functions as the release button. You apply half a turn of torque and latch the thing in tension, stick the protruding front of the strip in the plug's keyway, push the release button and the strip spins around, and spins the plug.
Except mine shot across the room narrowly missing said new kitten. Closer examination seemed to reveal that although there were tapped holes for grub screws in the rear collar, presumably to hold the rear collar onto the spring strip, there didn't seem actually to be any grub screws in said holes. Hence the not remaining as a singular tool, whole and entire unto itself, behaviour.
If anyone's got one, does the back collar simply pull off yours? And thus enable you to verify that the "grub screw" drillings are empty?
