I have fitted a number of ERA Repair Locks, they consist of deadlocking latch and Long deadbolt in the centre section with a roller and hardened, adjustable T-Bolt above and below.
An adjustable one piece keep is supplied with a clever set of multi adjustable, universal frame packers.
They take about 2/3 times longer to fit than the correct or near replacement MPL but are handy as will replace virtually any MPL as long as you have a large variety of handles in stock to cover original fixing holes.

Bearing in mind there is approx 78 different varieties of these, the ERA repair lock is a good investment, but the "overnight" lock gets you out of trouble as how much stock can we possibly carry and this takes little space.

Also it might be worth stripping some parts off these strip locks as you replace them as it is not always the follower that goes up the swanny.

Wink Haus also make good overnight locks for upvc. they come in afew different sizes. very handy to have. Well a must I'd say really

I find the universal does fit most doors all in my case.But I dont deal with UPVC much anymore mostly alliminium and steel.
