Having lived in England (Barnes on Thames) years ago, if I remember correctly, Tesco (weird as it sounds, cause that's a grocery store) had some cheap cylinderlock. I got a few back then but never found out if see if it was a one-time deal only. Might be worth a try.

definetly reccomend screwfix, they have nightlatch cylinders, non- curtain mortice BS locks and same brand of euro profiles that I pay £18 from supplier in Brixton for around £5, they are based in Yeovil, not a million miles from you but better still they deliver to wherever want!

to add to my last post, I have just had a look at the brand new Screwfix book and they have some cheap BS curtain mortices which would good for practicing on.
