Well top looks suspiciously like an ERA 221.

Bottom one possible a Securefast.

yes totally agree with the council opening at the top
i work for my local authority as a window fitter recently sat nde course
have offered to do entrys for them, but they would rather send a bod out
with a f***ing big hammer and chisel or a drill as first choice of access!
sooner i get out of there the better.
god i love picking locks.

Ok Ok i was having a bad day!
Id go with Dimmys first suggestion on the bottom one Securefast (how do you explode the pic Dimmy)
Id say top one used to be a uNION 2201

I posted this in the shoddy installations, but I decided the shoddy openings thread was more suitable:

I'm not sure how it ever got open.

explode pic by hovering mouse over it and selecting SAVE ( the disc icon) then editing it in a picture editor.

I agree the keyway is too low to be ERA and it does look like a 2201 except for the spring retainer lugs showing through the case are long and flat, which I dont recall seeing on Unions b4. Come to think about the top one, the body casing is that of YALE M550 but its the wrong colour? possibly rebranded yale? the imprinted shape to left of keyway on Unions are usually square, this is ovalated triangle shape I've see on recent Yales, of course I could be totally wrong.

The top lock was in the kitchen of a boarded up council house in Scunthorpe or somewhere.
It is unequivocally the latest generation of Union 2201, however, I wasn't really asking about the top one!
The Sitex door was in Nottingham, I went specially to photograph it.
Get your cameras and phones snapping and post the worst you can find.

Do you really need a drill that large? I use 1/8 at the largest when drilling!

ROFL, umm nope. But then I dont need TNT or an angle grinder either.. nor will I force a customer to take money out of an ATM. Or charge them traveling time , if I dont have what they need on the van and I havent pre ordered it, I'll collect it on MY time not theirs. But then, I'm not Jessie James or Billy the kid. <wink>

One of my guys went to this job today. A father and son firm had spent 2 1/2 hours on a previous visit and failed to gain entry.
