I have picked them. most of the locks i pick are in fact 7 pin and 5 pin assa locks. 5 pin locks is becomming a thing of the past in sweden. With a few exceptions, all companies in sweden use assa scd. And the general public are in the process of changing their old 5 pin assas to 7 pin assa locks. the high spring tension, low manufacturing tolerances combined with a keyway that does not like tension tools makes it a very difficult lock, or should i say frustrating. No lock is hard to pick, they are just more or less frustrating
The locksmiths in sweden tend to say that the cylinder is pickproof. They are all wrong.
but they just say what the general public needs to hear.
I would still bet my money on a medeco cylinder instead of the assa scd in regard of pick resistace. but when it comes down to securing property and belongings pick resistance is never really the issue.
