The new BS3621-2004 locks

well guys

we have survived another round of new bs locks, with all being defeated well before becoming a problem on the door.

The ERA fortress

the safe ventures decoder, invented by benny wells of safe ventures is 100% and pops this lock swiftly, a must have tool for shiny lovers, it works 1st time every time and is a fine tool, as we have come to expect from the safeventures camp, a must for warrant lockiesl
.
this lock picks with ease on the cb curtain pick also, the mod to existing pick owners is free and only a new F wire needs buying to defeat this lock with your existing tool.

The Legge

still defeated by the safe ventures pin and cam when using the plastercine impression.

now defeated by the cb pick with new L wire, as well as being defeated with the mark francis triple pickand the rb pick also.

The Securefast

this is still defeated with your existing safeventures decoder, though is more reliable with the new decoder unit than the key, but works on both systems well, just reading chart is different.

this lock unlike before, is now defeated with ease with either the cb pick and new S wire and rb 7g curtain picks and the mark francis triple pick.

The Walsall

Im starting to have some successes with the safeventures tool when reading from the front, and using in a similar fashion to the new Fortress decoder, once i perfect the chart to make this 100% il post up on it, but the safe ventures tool still opens the new lock, but a new fortress type approach is required.

this lock picks with more ease than before, despite being the same levers, i have defeated this lock with ease , with the cb pick and the rb tool, and i believe mark francis triple pick will also do the job.

UNION , YALE and Chubb 3U114E

this lock picks on same plastercine decoder guys, marks up 1mm longer but no problems, and picks on all curtain picks the same.

chubb 3G114E

the safeventures decoder still defeats this lock , and the cb e series pick picks these easier than the old 114 locks.

so all in all guys, the only lock thats going to cost a little more to defeat easily, will be the fortress, as its a new decoder, or new pick wires, though the rest should pick on existing decoder tools and wire mods for curtain picks.

Airborne

For the new BS 2004 Securefast you need to read the backs of the levers.
You will also have to make a new chart as the levers read different from the old style locks, on which you read the bellies of the levers.

I'm sure I've seen the new decodes on here somewhere. I don't think its in the advanced section. I had to print them out a while back.

Have a look around,

This is the first I've found, but it doesn't have the readings, try PM'ing the authors.

Fortress.

The levers lean on the key until its turned to its correct bitting on the key. Has anyone noticed that the levers scratch the keys on the side rather than wait until the key turns to the height of the levers like in the Invincible , Profit/Viscount?

I wonder if this will allow quick wear on the keys?? If so the Fortress will develop problems.

I think your right, i can see a key with high and low cuts next to each other finding the high cut goes up between the levers and gets stuck. As the blanks are brass they will wear quickly too.How many times have you seen a 114 key that has the first lever cut bent over when this senario exists ? i think a lot of bent key problems amy arise in time especially when bad copies have been made.

Xorb,Toomush

I've noticed this rapid key wear also.
I dont think it will be too long before our SV Decoders are called into regular action due to key failiure :D
